The Problem With Why

Writer's picture: sean gracesean grace

In this episode of The 3-Minute Leader, I share a pivotal lesson I learned as a young manager about the power of asking the right questions. While asking "why" can uncover root causes, it often leads to excuse-making rather than action. In the video I discuss a different kind of question that will more likely trigger solutions and prescriptions instead of rationalizations and excuses. For more on this approach, check out Chapter Six in my book The Art of the Question, available on Amazon.
